Unlock more value for your clients.
In our ongoing efforts to innovate in the areas of energy and environmental risk management, the team has been working hard on this platform to bring utility-scale renewable energy projects directly to corporate energy buyers and their energy advisers/consultants.
Large energy users are able to be the greatest beneficiaries of this new model which provide easier, direct access to longer-term pricing risk management and power purchase options that can be integrated with existing (or new) Retailer energy agreements.
As Australia’s leading Wholesale Energy and Environmental Markets team (TFS), with expert knowledge of retailers, project developers and financiers, the Renewable Energy Hub is uniquely positioned to be your partner in finding and delivering the financial and environmental benefits of renewable generation projects to your clients.
Barriers to PPAs
Typically, the barriers to power purchasing agreements has been the complex nature of the transactions, often requiring significant legal advice and understanding of wholesale energy markets in detail. Renewable Energy Hub has been created to simplify the transaction and to provide standardise term sheets and contracts, lowering the cost to enter into a PPA.
Why corporate PPAs?
A long term power purchasing agreement with the appropriate structure provides a hedge against often unpredictable electricity prices. A PPA helps to provide price certainty. When sized to customer load and accounting for obligations such as the renewable energy target (RET) significant, sustainable savings can be achieved.
Through our network of energy retailers, Renewable Energy Hub is able to facilitate a range of retailer integrated solutions, including sleeved PPAs and for example our firmed solar solution.
